Humanities Teacher (Geography, History, and RE)

Location: South Sheffield Suburb

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (Full-Time), until the end of the academic year, with potential for extension

Start Date: As soon as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school in a south Sheffield suburb. This fixed-term position encompasses the three Humanities subjects - Geography, History, and Religious Education (RE). We welcome applications from experienced teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and enthusiastic applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Geography, History, and RE for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Collaborate with the Humanities department to contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students through thorough marking of assessments and homework.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.
  • Proven experience teaching Geography, History, and RE at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
