Primary Teacher | Rainham

An OFSTED 'Outstanding' three-form entry primary school in Rainham are recruiting a Year One Teacher from April 2024. This would be a full-time, long-term post with day rates between £176 - £235 on offer. After the successful completion of a term, there could be potential to transfer onto a permanent contract at the school.

The Primary Teacher will be enthusiastic and energetic, able to effectively plan towards the Year 1 curriculum, teach and engage a class of Year 1 students! Holding UK recognised QTS, having experience teaching in the UK and holding strong Key Stage 1 subject knowledge, you will be confident to teach a class of 30 students.

Located in Rainham, the school aims to ensure that all of their pupils grow up with opportunities and the ability to shape their own future in the path that they see fit. Nearby Brookway bus station and a short walk from Rainham train station, the school is easily accessible via public transport.

Requirements:

• Hold UK recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in Primary Schools in the UK, with at least a year's worth of experience in KS1 or Early Years.
• Familiar with planning towards and delivering the KS1 curriculum, including the use of Phonics Schemes, such as Jolly Phonics or Read Write Inc.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
