Tradewind are currently recruiting for a mixed role of a Laboratory and Food Technician to work in a SEN School based in Wirral. As a School they build on students' strength to enable them to develop their abilities and interests. In addition to their primary needs, their young people present with a range of other difficulties including: Attachment Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Motor Tic Disorders, and Speech and Language Disorders.

This is a mixed role, the main role will be as a Laboratory Technician however the candidate will need to help set up equipment for The Food Technology Teacher once a week for practical lessons. The role is to start April and is a permanent role.

The ideal candidate would have experience working in a SEN setting but not essential. Experience and/or qualification for working as a Laboratory Technician is essential.

- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
