Role: Learning Mentor
Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Lewisham
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in students' lives
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, addressing their individual learning needs and helping them overcome challenges
- Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe and respectful learning environment
- Support the academic progress of students, including assisting with homework, revision, and exam preparation
- Foster positive relationships with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and emotional support as needed
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and external support services to ensure a coordinated approach to student support
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions, and contribute to the overall assessment and reporting process
