Position Overview:
The primary focus of this role will be teaching Key Stage 3 students, with some responsibilities involving Key Stage 4 as well. As a Teacher of Maths, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing students' mathematical fluency, problem-solving abilities, and appreciation for the subject's real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster conceptual understanding and fluency in mathematical fundamentals
  • Encourage problem-solving skills through real-world applications
  • Cultivate an appreciation for mathematics within historical, cultural, and societal contexts
  • Promote independent and cooperative learning among students
  • Effectively communicate mathematical concepts using various modes
  • Emphasise the interconnectedness of different branches of mathematics

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics
  • Previous experience teaching mathematics at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Remuneration:
The salary for this position is to scale, offering a competitive day rate ranging from £153.85 to £211.96, commensurate with experience.
