Tradewind are currently recruiting for an outstanding part time Maths teacher for a very popular 11-16 comprehensive school in Stroud. The role is starting in January and is fixed term until 31/08/20. This includes planning and marking so we will pay to scale for the right candidate. The role requires the successful candidate to work on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays of each week.

The school is Ofsted Good with strong leadership and is an aspirational and respectful setting in the Cotswolds. It is easily accessible by bus or car and a large car park is available for staff parking, as well as on road parking outside the school grounds. This school has a brilliant reputation locally and holds over 600 students.

The role includes working with students in years 7 through to 11 and you will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 & KS4. The Maths team is a small & friendly team of staff and they are all very supportive and helpful. There will be schemes of work in place for the Maths lessons, and this role may also include covering other subjects on the odd occasion.

The School is well equipped with excellent facilities for both staff and students. The students are an aspirational group of young people who vary in ability, but all have strong desires to succeed. You will need to offer strong differentiation to be able to provide quality lessons for all of the students. The leadership team are friendly, supportive and want every student to succeed no matter what their ability or background. The school has strict behaviour policies that must be followed at all times as some challenging behaviour is present in this school. In general Supply teachers very much enjoy their experience of working at the school, we receive very positive feedback about the school and its students from our supply teachers.

Essential requirements:
To be successful in this part time Maths teacher role you will need to hold QTS and specialise in Maths preferably, or in another subject but with proven experience in teaching Maths up to GCSE. NQT's will certainly be considered and the school offer great training and support. You must be passionate, enthusiastic, enjoy a challenge, be calm, patient and be able to build solid relationships with staff and students.
