Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths to join a reputable secondary school in Grimsby. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) Maths, with full planning and marking responsibilities. Experience with the AQA exam board is desirable due to the school's curriculum requirements.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable
  • Recent experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 levels
  • Familiarity with the AQA exam board curriculum is advantageous
  • Candidates with relevant experience in tutoring will also be considered

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels
  • Provide effective marking and feedback to students to support their progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance

Duration and Potential for Permanent Position: This position is initially temporary, starting in April 2024 and running until the end of the academic year. However, there is a high likelihood that the school's requirement will extend into September, with the potential for the role to become permanent. Many candidates have successfully transitioned from temporary to permanent positions through our temp-to-perm contract agreement.

Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is to scale, ranging between £30,000 and £43,266 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Pay is provided on a weekly basis, offering stability and financial security.
