Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint an outstanding Maths teacher to join a one of the leading schools in the Boroug of Southwark.
Tradewind are looking to recruit a highly motivated, engaging, experience Maths Teacher with a commitment to academic excellence and helping every child succeed. Working as part of a small team, you will play an important part in developing the academy's Maths provision. You will plan and deliver high quality lessons and be committed to achieving excellent results for their students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn
Key responsibilities of this role would be to take responsibility for raising attainment at a Key Stage, ensuring that all students achieve results at the end of a Key Stage in line with, or better than expected attainment. To monitor the progress of key contextual groups implementing well designed strategies to close any gaps as they occur. You will provide a nurturing classroom and school environment that helps scholars to develop as learners along with other key duties including supporting Head of Department when necessary. In return, you will have the opportunity to work with great colleagues and receive the support to develop yourself through an outstanding professional development programme.
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner and will process effective and systematic behaviour management, with clear boundaries, sanctions, praise and rewards. You will have good communication, planning and organisational skills. You must be qualified to degree level or professional equivalent.
Other duties which would be involved in this would be an Academic Tutor (where allocated) and contribute to the Academy's extracurricular programme and have a pro active input.
