MFL Teacher for Long term Cover role - French and / or Spanish - Full or part time - Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

We are currently seeking an upbeat and professional MFL Teacher to support a popular and leading Secondary School on from Easter on an ongoing basis.

Open to part-Time or full time MLF Teachers - The role will include delivering French or Spanish lessons to pupils in Key stages 3 &4. Lessons can be planned by the department which makes this a great role for those without UK experience or language experts without school experience.

This is a popular, well run Secondary School with pupils who behave well and enjoy languages.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the MFL department and lead Spanish or French lessons to pupils in KS 3 or 4
  • Planning has been completed for ease and the school are open to staff able to plan their own lessons and take on teaching responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons to pupils who are keen to learn and develop.
  • Help pupils develop an interest in languages and creative a positive environment that inspires learning
  • Monitor progression and provide regular feedback on their performance.
  • Support students in their language acquisition, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Collaborate with the Modern Foreign Languages department to contribute to curriculum development and assessment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, strong cover supervisors and unqualified teachers will be considered
  • The ability to be able to teach French or Spanish to key stage 3 or 4 is a requirement
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Passion for teaching and supporting on a whole school basis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Dedication to the academic and personal growth of students.
