Job Opportunity: Music Teacher

Location: North East Lincolnshire

Tradewind Recruitment is pleased to partner with a prestigious secondary school in North East Lincolnshire, seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

Role Overview: As a Music Teacher at this esteemed secondary school, you will collaborate with an experienced Head of Department renowned for their music career. You will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, while actively contributing to the school's vibrant music program. This includes organising concerts, coordinating educational trips, and fostering the development of local musicians, thus continuing the school's proud tradition of nurturing musical talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic Music lessons tailored to the needs of students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning within the Music department.
  • Support students in their musical journey, providing guidance and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as concerts, recitals, and music-related trips to enrich students' musical experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment conducive to musical exploration and creativity.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Music.
  • Experience teaching Music across Key Stages 3 to 5, with a proven track record of academic success and student engagement.
  • Passion for music education and a commitment to nurturing the musical talents of young learners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dedicated professionals, contributing to the overall success of the department and the school.

Start Date: September 2024

Duration: Full academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent as the school expands its team.

Salary: Competitive, to scale, ranging between £30,000 and £46,525, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
