Job title: Nursery Assistant

Location: Bristol

Contract: Starting ASAP until end of academic year

Pay rate: £85-£100 per day

Hours: 8:30 to 3:30 - Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled Nursery Assistant or Teaching Assistant with nursery experience to join a large primary school in Bristol to work in their nursery. Early years qualifications would be welcomed but are not essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the teacher and children in the nursery including providing personal care
• Promote positive behaviour management strategies and contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with classroom organization and maintenance of resources
• Support students' social and emotional development through effective communication and rapport-building

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with nursery aged children (highly preferable)
• A patient and nurturing approach to supporting children's learning and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with staff
• Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the classroom and students
• Basic knowledge of the national curriculum and educational practices
