Part-time - MPS - ASAP start

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Nursery Leader for a Primary School in Rochester. This is a part-time role, with the hours being 8:30am-12pm Monday to Friday. Shortlisting for this role is happening now and interviews will be held ASAP. This is to start immediately and will be required up until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

The school is single form entry in Rochester and is a faith school. This ethos is carried across all year groups and informs everything they do regarding core values of kindness, acceptance, and support. The school is graded GOOD by Ofsted and commented on how happy the children were and are proud of their school. The school is accessible via public transport and has on site parking.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Conduct assessments to track children's progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Provide a safe and secure setting that promotes physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and participate in school-wide events and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, QTS would be preferable.
  • Prior experience as a Nursery Teacher would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
