Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Primary trained teacher with SEN experience, looking for your next role as a SEN teacher for a nurture group in a Mainstream Primary setting? The role is full-time running a nurture group for the school for an established school in South Bristol.

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a SEN teacher/Primary trained teacher with significant amount of SEN experience, to teach a small group of students with a variety of SEN needs. Most ages will be Key Stage 1 and some including Key Stage 2 students with significant needs of behavioural support. The school will be considering a candidate who can lead this provision and who is passionate about bettering the young people's access to learning and enabling their inclusion.

School is within reach of public transport in Bristol and would be easily reachable through buses across the city. However, use of your own transport would highly shorten the journey to the school from North of Bristol and other areas.

-A strong understanding of students' learning needs in Key stage 1
-Ability to support the student both academically and emotionally in a calm manner, adhere to safeguarding and behavioural policies at all times, and show adherence to professional boundaries.
-Previous SEN experience is necessary particularly teaching students with severe challenging behaviour and Autism.
-Use of Makaton and a keen interest in managing challenging behaviour through innovative and patient manner.
- A collaborative and driven individual who will be able to work closely with the SENCO and other Education professionals in and out of the school.
-Ability to manage challenging behaviour and de-escalate appropriately.

Location: South Bristol

* Have a QTS in Primary or significant amounts of teaching in SEN. Previous experience of teaching in a resource base in very much sought after.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
