Female PE Teacher; January 2019; Bromley School.

This is a mixed secondary school with academy status located within the London Borough of Bromley. The school is well renowned throughout the surrounding area for its sporting achievements, most notably in basketball, and has produced some of the highest GCSE and A Level results in the borough, and is therefore heavily over-subscribed.

The school is extremely successful, well-disciplined 11-18 co-educational academy with excellent accommodation and facilities set in very attractive grounds. Just over 1700 students have a desire to succeed and to learn and display excellent attitudes and behaviour. Relationships between students and staff are very good and staff enjoy opportunities to lead and participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities and trips.

Responsibilities for this Key Stage 3 and 4 Female PE Teacher Role include:

You will be responsible for teaching PE to mixed ability classes, with the ability to teach PE up to Key Stage 3/4. There will be the prospect of you also having to plan lessons, in line with National Curriculum expectations if the duration of the role is extended. You will be required to effectively manage pupil behaviour both in and out of the classroom setting and provide ongoing and consistent feedback on pupil progression.

*To follow the school's curriculum and assessment methodology (which are largely based on the National Curriculum)
*To assess prospective pupil applications
*To do at least one duty a week (paid additional)
*To attend staff meetings and parents' evenings as required out of school hours
*To contribute to 'house' and other whole school activities (e.g. sports day)
*Occasional internal cover of absent staff
