Are you an experienced and enthusiastic PE teacher looking for a new opportunity? A fantastic role has become available for a dynamic individual to join our outstanding high school in Hitchin, Hertfordshire as a PE Teacher.

As a member of our highly skilled and supportive team of teachers, you will deliver a challenging and engaging curriculum that inspires students to reach their full potential. You will be responsible for teaching PE to students of all abilities and levels, from year 7 to year 13.

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed teacher who can plan and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that help students develop their physical, social, and emotional skills. You should be able to motivate students to participate and enjoy a variety of sports, regardless of their ability. You should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive learning environment.

To be considered for this role, you should hold a relevant degree and a PGCE qualification, and have experience teaching PE at secondary level. You should be up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in physical education and have a passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and the benefits of physical activity.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in Physical Education or related field

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) qualification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Passionate about physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles

  • Dynamic and enthusiastic with a positive attitude

  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time-management skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
