Tradewind is actively seeking an exceptional KS1 and KS2 Teacher for an attractive PPA Cover position at a highly regarded primary school in Tameside.

On behalf of our represented school, Tradewind is excited to present a wonderful opportunity for you to play a significant role in the progress and achievement of pupils in a KS1 and KS2 classes within a 'Good' school in Hyde, Tameside. This role specifically involves PPA cover in the afternoons and is scheduled to start ASAP on a full-time basis, continuing throughout the academic year. The potential for an extension exists, contingent on your success in the role.

The competitive pay rate for this position is between £150 and £210 per day, depending on experience. You will be required for the rest of the academic year.

PPA Cover

The successful teacher will be responsible for the progress and attainment of a high achieving KS1 and KS2 class.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Delivering captivating lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of AREs for KS1 and KS2 children, providing tailored support to maximise educational outcomes for each pupil.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of data, analyse areas requiring reteaching, and address learning gaps to sustain high levels of achievement.
  • Cultivate a positive relationship with all pupils, fostering trust and mutual respect.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Teaching Assistant, key stage colleagues, and the broader staff to exchange advice, share resources, and implement best practices effectively as part of a cohesive team.


Essential Requirements:

-QTS (Or an equivalent teaching qualification)

-Excellent references to support previous experience in KS1 and KS2


-A CV that covers the last 10 years employment history with any CV gaps explained

-The right to work in the UK
