This is a role for the full academic year, beginning September 2019. This lovely primary school recently opened an Alternative Resource Provision which supports pupils with Autism, Social Communication difficulties and other complex learning difficulties. Running successfully for 2 years, they are now looking to expand and seeking an exceptional Primary SEN teacher to join the team.

The ARP supports pupils from reception to year 3 and currently has 12 students across 2 classes. The school is three form entry with over 650 pupils in mainstream classes, so the ARP will continue to expand over time. You would be teaching a class of 8-10 pupils and have the support of 2 or more teaching assistants.

This OFSTED rated Good school, is based around the core values of respect, ambition and a truly inclusive learning environment. Staff are dedicated, with high expectations of pupils' behaviour and work. The school community is diverse, and teachers are passionate about supporting each child to achieve their personal and academic potential. The school has just undergone a complete refurbishment with new, state of the art facilities and one of the largest outdoor green spaces in Ealing.

The Teacher would:
*Be a qualified primary teacher with SEN experience in mainstream or SEN schools
*Be knowledgeable of or skilled in using specialist communication systems like PECS and Makaton
*Have completed some form of SEN professional development
*Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils, ensuring equality of opportunity for all
*Prepare and develop teaching materials and individual teaching programmes based on pupils EHCP
*Be aware of pupils' needs and abilities, differentiate appropriately to build on these
*Ensure that support staff working in the class are involved and supported to understand their role and the needs of the pupils they work with
