About Us:
Our primary school in Barking & Dagenham has recently secured funding to support pupils who have been on a reduced timetable. We are now seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of these children.
Requirements:
- Experience in teaching pupils with complex ASD and challenging behavior
- Previous experience with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Demonstrated creativity, patience, understanding, and calm demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to use initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Comfortable with supporting personal care needs of students
- Proficient in implementing highly adaptive curriculums, including sensory support strategies
- Familiarity with writing comprehensive reports for pupils
- Ability to confidently deliver parents' evenings and meetings
- Capability to incorporate input from other professionals to enhance student learning and development
Position Details:
- The successful candidate will work with a small group of 4/5 children alongside two other adults.
- This is a full-time position until the end of the summer term, with hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Some later nights may be required for CPD, parents' evenings, etc.
- For those seeking permanent teaching roles, this temporary position can also be considered.
