Are you an experienced Key Stage 2 teacher who is passionate about raising attainment, and would be interested in teaching intervention groups across Key Stage 2 alongside covering for PAP across the school

A primary school in the Greenwich area are seeking an experienced group intervention and PAP teacher to start September 2020. The role is on a full-time basis, and would involve teaching lower ability K'S intervention groups in the mornings, focusing on Maths and English. The afternoons would involve covering for PAP across Key Stage 1 and 2. Competitive salary available - MIPS 1-3 Inner London - £30480 - £33741

The core duties of this Key Stage 2 Intervention PAP teacher role are:

Teaching lower ability Key Stage 2 groups Numeracy and Literacy lessons every morning
Delivering a range of group Numeracy and Literacy intervention sessions to small groups of pupils
Planning and delivering lessons in line with pupil's abilities, and liaising with class teachers in order to correctly pitch group sessions which extend student learning, as well as feeding back pupil progress
Teach in Key Stage 1 and 2 year groups every afternoon to cover for PAP, being flexible in their approach, and consistent with classroom and behaviour management

It is essential that you demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and behaviour strategies, and have a thorough understanding of the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum, with excellent subject knowledge in Numeracy and Literacy. Experience delivering intervention group sessions is desirable, and ideally you will have at least 2 year's experience teaching in Key Stage 2. SATs booster or intervention experience is also highly desirable.

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
