An outstanding, Independent School in the heart of East London is recruiting a Year 1 teacher for a September start.

Are you a talented and motivated Year 1 teacher looking to take up a permanent role at an Independent school in Tower Hamlets?
This coveted role commences in September and the school can offer salaries of well above the National pay scales. Salaries start at £30 480 - £41483.

This non-selective and inclusive independent school is a co-educational day school for primary aged pupils set in large grounds in East London. The school was established in 1948 and has recently gone under extensive renovations. There has been considerable investment in their new facilities including the construction of 12 new classrooms and a state of the art performance studio. Class sizes are small and there are at least two adults to one classroom.

The school has gained an enviable record of excellence and achievement for boys and girls from 2½ to 13 years of age. Children and parents are guided through the education process to ensure the children attain the highest standards and meet their potential.
As the successful applicant, you will have good knowledge of the primary curriculum and a firm commitment to supporting all the children in your class. You will help pupils meet high standards of behaviour, appearance and punctuality, and a purposeful attitude to work. At all times, you will be expected to uphold the good name of the school and maintain confidentiality.
The school are looking for a Year 1 specialist who possesses the following qualities:
*Recent experience of teaching Key Stage 1 in an Independent or mainstream Primary School
*Sound knowledge and understanding of the British UK curriculum
*Great inter-personal skills
*Team player

Job Requirements
*Hold QTS status or equivalent Music teaching qualification
*Overseas Trained Teachers will be considered if you have a comparable qualification with a UK teaching qualification and you can comply with the other points
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
