Are you a confident Science teacher, capable of jumping into a short-term placement and prepared to hit the ground running? You will be covering general Science classes for a teacher leaving the school to complete their 6-week teacher training placement. The Science department is well established with planning for the term and resources already prepared.

This Secondary SEN School supports 240 pupils, all aged between 11-19. Class sizes are small with only 5-10 pupils, 1 teacher and 1-2 teaching assistants. The school ensure all staff are Team Teach trained and candidates who hold this training are encouraged to apply. Following the national curriculum, you will have a strong ability to differentiate and support each student to achieve their personal learning goals. With a wide range of abilities, familiarity with P-Scales will be highly beneficially in this role.

Onsite therapists are also available to offer support and provide comprehensive therapy plans for each student. From day one, you will be able to gain a strong understanding of your classes individual needs and the best behaviour management approaches for each child.

The Teacher would have:
*Experience teaching SEN students - in mainstream or SEN Schools
*QTS/QTLS and a relevant qualification in Science
*Experience teaching Science and knowledge of the national curriculum
*A strong ability to differentiate lessons to all P Levels
*A passion for working in an SEN environment
*Team Teach training - highly desired
