Tradewind are supporting a Blackburn school to recruit an SEN Teacher. This full time role is available starting ASAP. Following an initial period working on a temporary basis (typically 12 weeks) this role may become permanent. The school would like to recruit an SEN Teacher, experienced in working with pupils aged 7 - 14 years who have emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. A large proportion of the pupils at this school are on the Autistic Spectrum.

This 'Good' graded school, which caters for 16 children, is set in a former residential property with its own grounds, which allows for a quiet and nurturing environment. Class sizes are small and are structured to facilitate the implementation of students Individual Education Plans.

This could be your ideal next role if you are;
*Experienced in teaching pupils aged 7 - 14 years who suffer from emotional, behavioural and social difficulties.
*Experienced in teaching pupils with Autism
*Confident in working in an education environment in which behaviour will be challenging on a regular basis
*Experienced (or consider you will be confident following Team Teach training) to restrain a pupil which may be at risk of hurting them self, or others around them.
*Available full time for a permanent role (following an initial temporary period)
*An effective team player

This role will include;
*Teaching pupils with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, including pupils with Autism.
*Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
*Supporting the school team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn

To be considered for this role, you will need;
*A teaching qualification
*A DBS certificate, or be happy to apply for a DBS.
*Have a CV containing your last 10 years of education history (in month/year format)
*Be able to provide 2 professional references including one from your latest employer or education institution.
*Full time availability
*Team Teach training is desirable, not essential as training is available.
