Tradewind are currently working with a thriving, inclusive Secondary Academy in Harrow, who are in need of a nurturing, encouraging and supportive Secondary Teaching Assistant to work with their Year 7 students in the new academic year.

This is a full time, one-year contract with a possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will be working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to improve confidence, social and emotional well-being and to raise attainment. You will be working with students with special learning needs, or who are deemed vulnerable or at risk, to ensure that they have an equal opportunity of reaching their full academic potential and enjoy going to school.

This is a small, close-knit academy recently rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, with a cohort of 600 students. It is a very popular school within the community due to its high-achieving academic nature and passion for excellence outside of the classroom; offering a range of extra-curricular activities. As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will have access to the school's state-of-the-art gym facilities.

Serviced by the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines, this school is easily located from North, West and Central London.

The successful candidate for this Secondary Teaching Assistant position will:
*Have a strong academic background; hold a High-Level Degree or strong A-Levels. English, Maths or Science Graduates will be looked upon highly
*Have some experience working with disadvantaged, vulnerable or Special Needs Children
*Be passionate, encouraging, nurturing and have a passion for education
*Be able to support students with a range of needs in a friendly and professional manner
*Be confident and boast excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Be a team player, and willing to get involved with the school's extra-curricular activities
*This position would also suit a graduate with a strong desire to become a teacher in the future
