Job Title: SEN Early Years HLTA/Teacher - Intervention Specialist

This OFSTED 'Good' primary school based in Northfield, Birmingham are continuing their commitment to inclusive education by recruiting for a dynamic SEN Early Years HLTA/Teacher with a specialisation in intervention strategies.

Job Overview:

Unlock an exciting opportunity as a SEN Early Years HLTA/Teacher focused on interventions. Your role involves delivering targeted lessons to a specific group of children, addressing their unique needs within a specialised curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Craft and deliver differentiated lessons aligned with our specialised curriculum to support early years children with SEN.
  2. Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to create and implement tailored learning plans for each child in the intervention group.
  3. Regularly assess and adapt teaching strategies to ensure ongoing progress for each child.
  4. Cultivate an inclusive learning environment, fostering active participation and social skill development.
  5. Engage with parents, providing regular updates on progress and offering guidance for continued support at home.
  6. Contribute to the school's overall SEN provision through active participation in meetings and training sessions.
  7. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification.
  2. Demonstrated experience working with early years children with SEN.
  3. Proficient in SEN practices, interventions, and strategies.
  4. Knowledgeable about the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  5. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
  6. Adaptive teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual learners.
  7. Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEN.

The successful applicant will require a clear DBS check, Right to work in the UK and 2 professional references.
