Tradewind Recruitment is working with a good primary school based in Heston, Hounslow that are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a reception year group with a pupil who has a statement for ASD.

The headteacher and SENCo of this high achieving school in the heart of vibrant School in Hounslow keen to appoint a bright, ambitious Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a pupil in Reception. The pupil has an Educational Healthcare Plan and has a diagnosis of ASD. The pupil requires short-burst activity support, learning support in Literacy and Numeracy as well as support during play time.

As a Teaching Assistant you will require an experience to work with this pupil. The behaviour of the pupil is mild to moderate with that the school are seeking a restraint trained teaching assistant. The pupil has mild to moderate behavioural needs.

The role will involve

• Supporting a pupil with ASD/ASC in Reception with behavioural needs
• Work alongside the lower Early Years Foundation Stage team to plan and prepare engaging, fun sessions for small groups of learners that need additional support
• Firm but fair behaviour management skills
