Tradewind are working with a Good (Ofsted, 2018) Primary Special School seeking a full-time Primary Teacher to start in September 2019 and continue long-term, with a permanent contract to be offered to the right teacher. This role will involve teaching small classes of 6 with communication difficulties and/or ASD, tailoring your teaching approach to the children's individual needs and liaising closely with support staff.

Our client is a primary special school for children who learn within mainstream National curriculum expectations but who experience difficulties arising from communication and interaction. The vast majority of their pupils have a diagnosis of ASD, so experience in provision for children on the autism spectrum would be an advantage in your application. They have an excellent staff retention rate and offer top-of-the-line support and training, with the opportunity to train for nationally recognised qualifications in education and SEN provision.

As the students here follow the National Curriculum, experience in a specialist SEN setting is not a requirement for this role- an adaptable and supportive teacher with experience in teaching primary school will be able to thrive here with the SLT's support and training.

They are looking for a full time Primary Teacher who:

* Has a passion for teaching and learning
* Are outstanding practitioners
* Has energy and drive, who can develop and deliver personalised learning for each child, lead a team of teaching assistants, lead in professional meetings and discussions and contribute to whole school developments.
* Are committed to their own professional development
* Have a positive attitude to their life, their work and their colleagues as well as the children and families they work with.
* Are self-motivated, but collaborative, sharing and open, who look for solutions rather than problems

The Ideal Candidate will:

* Have experience in Primary School teaching
* Have experience in working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and communication difficulties
* Be passionate about ensuring that pupils get the very best education at all times
* Be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong differentiation skills and a positive approach to every child's progress
* Motivate and support colleagues and work collaboratively with professionals from a range of outside agencies
* Have a range of people management skills and an ability to tackle issues and be accountable and responsible for decisions

The school is located in South Bucks close to High Wycombe, with easy access via the M40 and good public transport connections.
