This SEN School in Hillingdon is looking for an experienced Teacher to work with a Year 7 class of 10 students, as well as teaching a weekly Year 11 English class. Comfortable working with secondary aged pupils, you will be able to adapt your lessons and subject material to suit each student's ability.

This position is best suited to teachers who have experience working with Autism (ASC) and complex moderate learning difficulties (CMLD). All students in the class will have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). The 5-week placement provides the opportunity to build a relationship with your class and to understand each learner's individual needs.

The school places an emphasis on involving pupils in their education and celebrating student success. Each pupil is encouraged to know and set their own learning targets and assessing their achievement through the "what went well" (WWW) approach. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting SEN pupils to become independent and engaged learners.

The Teacher would:
*Support a Year 7 class of 10 pupils
*Teach pupils with complex needs and Autism (ASC).
*Be supported by a full time Teaching Assistant in class
*Would also teach one Year 11 English class
*Work a half term booking with the school, options to extend may be available
*Be responsible for ensuring all students achieve their highest potential
*Tailor the learning environment and subject material to suit individual needs
*Ideally have experience with challenging behaviour (not essential)

*Provides placements for children and young people who have Complex Moderate Learning Difficulties (CMLD) and/or Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
*Follows the National Curriculum with no students disapplied.
*Has an onsite Multi-Disciplinary Team, comprising of Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
*Is well resourced to support SEN pupils with a sensory room, break-out spaces and a nurture room
