Tower Hamlets SEN School, in partnership with Tradewind Recruitment, is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Primary Teacher with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with ASD, excellent behaviour management skills, and a creative approach to teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with ASD
- Use visual supports and structured teaching methods to support learning
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including speech therapists and behaviour specialists
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- SEN teaching certification
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Knowledge of ASD strategies and interventions
