Waltham Forest SEN School, in partnership with Tradewind Recruitment, is looking for a motivated and compassionate SEN Secondary Teacher with a focus on students with Learning Disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with secondary-age students, a strong understanding of learning disabilities, and a commitment to inclusive education.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement differentiated lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of students with Learning Disabilities
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and assistive technologies to support student learning
- Collaborate with support staff to provide a holistic approach to education
- Prepare students for transition to post-secondary education or vocational training
- Participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings and parent conferences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- SEN teaching certification
- Experience working with secondary students with Learning Disabilities
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and assessment techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
