We are looking for candidates with knowledge and/or experience in supporting pupils with physical disabilities (PD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties PMLD).

The school is an Outstanding school in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham catering to pupils aged 2-19 years old, from Nursery through to sixth form. With around 70 pupils and classes are small and support is provided to meet each student's personal and social needs. The school focuses on establishing strong relationships with pupils and their families. Teaching staff work alongside a multi-disciplinary of therapy specialists to provide a curriculum that is holistic, accessible and focused on the needs of each individual pupil.

Although SEN experience is helpful, it is not a requirement for this position. More important than experience is a passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential, no matter what obstacles they face. Creativity, enthusiasm and a caring attitude are key traits we are looking for.

The Teaching Assistant would:
*Support students according to their EHCP
*Differentiate lessons according to the child's interests and preferred methods of learning
*Engage and involve children in active learning situations
*Establish routines and communication strategies which enable pupils to feel secure, informed and safe in their learning environment
*Support students to overcome barriers to learning and apply their skills in different contexts
*Encourage creativity and curiosity in learning
*Work alongside a class teacher and multi-disciplinary team of therapy specialists
*Receive opportunities for SEN specific training and development
