The school specialises in supporting primary aged students, with most classes having both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils.

The role is for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, the school would consider continuing the contract on a permanent basis from September.

SEN experience is not as important as passion and a willingness to be a positive and consistent role model. Relationship building skills, patience and a willingness to learn are key attributes we are looking for. Knowledge of de-escalation and supporting pupils with emotional regulation will be beneficial in this role.

The ideal candidate is:
*A team player, flexible and have a sense of humour
*Team Teach trained or positive restraint trained (preferred but not essential)
*Experienced working with Primary school children and with the national curriculum
*Emotionally resilient and understanding of SEMH needs
*Open to working alongside experienced SEMH teachers in a challenging behaviour environment

*Class sizes of 8-9 pupils with 1 teacher and 1-2 teaching assistants per class
