Position: SENCO (Maternity Cover)

Location: Lewisham, London

Start Date: April 15th

Contract: Full-Time

Pay: M1-6 plus TLR for the right candidate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic development of Special Educational Needs provision across the school.
  • Coordinate the identification, assessment, and provision for students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create personalized support plans for students.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on best practices for supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision, making adjustments as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant experience in Special Educational Needs.
  • Experience working as a SENCO or similar role within a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusive practices and ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
