Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a experienced SEND Teacher to join this special school in Camden as an SEND teacher. This is a full time, long-term role for the rest of the academic year with scope to continue next academic year.
The School:
The school supports children from Camden primary schools mild and moderate learning needs. A high number of pupils here also have an additional diagnosis of Autism. Class sizes are therefore smaller with up to 8 pupils per class and there is a high staff-to-pupil ratio so that children are given the correct support when needed across the school day.
As a SEND teacher you will be responsible for the below:
- Planning and assessing pupils with MLD/ASD
- Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions.
- Support behaviour by following the children's plans
- Updating and setting targets for children.
- Working alongside other professionals in the support network
To join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :
- Previous experience working within SEND
- An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
