Are you a qualified Speech and Language Therapist? Keen to be based in an educational setting? This OFSTED rated Outstanding School in Hillingdon is seeking exceptional, experience Speech and Language Therapists to work in the school and support the teaching team with students' speech, language and communication needs.

As an SEN school supporting students with complex needs, you will be an integral member of the team providing support to every student and ensuring teaching staff are well supported with clear assessments and intervention plans for each student. There are two positions in the school, one for an experience SLT to manage and oversee the department and the other to work directly alongside students and staff, creating and providing regular intervention. Both therapists will work autonomously, providing highly specialist advice, prognoses and a variety of therapy and intervention programmes. SLTs will also provide advice and training to others to enable them to support the development of children's speech language and communication skills. Drive, passion and a genuine interest in supporting students with Special Needs to develop is essential in this post.
As this is a specialist role, qualifications in Speech and Language as well as professional registration are highly desired. However, over and above this, the school are always seeking candidates with genuine passion for supporting SEN students and working in a complex needs environment.

The school is an incredibly warm and nurturing environment. With a Catholic ethos at its heart, the school are very inclusive and most students who attend are not from a Catholic background. This is a 40 hour per week role, working 8.30am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Most of your work will take place during term time, with some holiday work required. Free staff parking is available onsite.

The Speech and Language Therapist would:
*Assess all students upon admission to the school
*Create details Speech and Language Programmes designed to meet each students' individual communication needs
*Engage in joint planning with teaching staff to ensure students speaking and listening skills are successfully developed
*Run weekly Social Skills sessions using strategies such as Talkabout, "smiLE"
*Use interventions such as Colourful Semantics, Social Stories and Cued Articulation
*Provide therapy based on functional skills and real-life situations supporting verbal and non-verbal skills.
*Be confident using technology like iPads as communication aids
