Are you a reliable, passionate and enthusiastic Geography Teacher seeking a new role from the Summer term?
Would you like to join a welcoming Humanities department and teach student who behave impeccably?

An average sized 11 to 18 secondary academy located in a beautiful part of Essex are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Geography to join their Humanities department. This is a full-time role to provide maternity cover and will last until the end of the academic year at least. The school is accessible by both public transport car and has on-site parking for staff and visitors.

The school is very well-run, well-organised and Humanities subjects are popular across the school. The team of teaching and support staff are hard-working and supportive with high standards. They are able to offer a broad curriculum enabling them to offer students lots of fantastic opportunities which will help better prepare them for their future career paths - whatever they may be. The school also has a huge focus on personalised learning and they always strive to provide additional support to students whenever needed. This is a caring school which believes in encouraging and challenging students to reach their full potential and exceed their expectations.

The successful Geography teacher will be:
Able to confidently teach pupils up to GCSE and have a proven track record of progression.
Will be familiar with the Geography/Humanities national curriculum.
Familiar and confident with contemporary resources and equipment.
A committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
A collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of their lessons through creative approaches to the curriculum.

To be successful in this Geography teaching role you will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Provide a CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
Have the legal right to work in the UK.
