Job Opportunity: Part-Time Year 2 Teacher
Location: South Sheffield Primary School
Start Date: 2nd September 2024
Hours: Part-time, 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday)
Contract: Fixed-term for one year to cover maternity leave
We are seeking a dedicated part-time Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant team at a primary school in South Sheffield. As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners, undertaking full teacher responsibilities including planning, teaching, and assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of Year 2 students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth.
- Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform future teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the school curriculum.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this role.
- Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.
- Experience working with Year 2 students or within a primary school setting is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and enhancing teaching practices.
