Year 3 Teacher (Full-Time, Fixed-Term)

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Year 3 Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis, in a fixed-term role until Christmas 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the vibrant learning environment of our school located in North Chesterfield.

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students. The successful candidate will have experience working with Year 3 or related year groups, ensuring that all lessons are engaging, inclusive, and tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. This role will involve working closely with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support the holistic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons in line with the National Curriculum, fostering a love for learning among students.
  • Differentiate teaching approaches to accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities within the class.
  • Assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular initiatives and enrichment activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
  • Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential.
  • Experience working with Year 3 or related year groups, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges in the classroom.
  • Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome, with mentoring and support provided as necessary.
  • All applicants will be vetted in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidelines.
