Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Tradewind are working with an excellent school in the East Riding of Yorkshire, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant, to work on a long term basis. This is a full time booking, and is on an 'ongoing' basis, meaning it will likely last as long as the student is in the school. This position is due to start after October half term (November 2nd). Payment for this position will be between £65.00 and £70.00 per day. This has potential to turn into a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will be working within a large team of Teaching Assistants and support staff, to ensure effective care and provision throughout the school. You will very often be working within the SEN team, and may be asked to provide 1:1 teaching assistant duties. A candidate who has the ability to work as a cover supervisor, and fill in covering lessons, would be highly desirable for this position. This is because there may be requirements to fill in and perform the duties of a 'cover supervisor', if cover requirements are high throughout the week.

The school itself caters for students aged 11-18, so you may find yourself covering some 6th form lessons, alongside your more traditional 'cover supervisor role'. There is a free onsite car park for those who do drive, and the school is not too far from a bus station for those who rely on public transport. After speaking with the school at length since the schools have returned, I have been extremely impressed by the safety measures in place due to the current Covid Pandemic. Staff members entering the school can feel safe and secure that their safety, and the safety of the students in the school, are of the highest possible concern.

The role:
* Assisting the teacher in the delivering work with the child
* Developing curricular knowledge as required by the school
* Undertaking observations of the pupil and contribute to pupil records
* Abiding by and work towards all the policies within the school e.g. behaviour management, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities
* Carrying out the above duties in accordance with the Children's Services Department's Equal Opportunities Policy.

Essential requirements:
Experience working as a teaching assistant
All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
An up to date CV with a 10 year career history
Legal Right to Work in the UK
