Teaching Assistant
- Full time intervention role
- Work on a one to one basis or with small groups within a specialist intervention unit
- Help to raise attainment in core subject areas of English and Maths
Tradewind are working with a school in the South Sheffield area seeking Teaching Assistants level 2 or above to work with a group of KS2 students within their intervention unit from April 2021.
Many of the students have diagnosis of ASD or ADHD so prior experience of supporting children with these needs is required either within mainstream or SEN settings. A calm and consistent approach is required for this role.
The role will involve helping to integrate students back into school after the lockdown period and to help bridge the attainment gap which has opened up over lockdown by undertaking one to one or small group interventions in English and Maths.
There will also be an element of outdoor provision, including gardening which will help to engage students so prior experience in this area would be desirable.
The school has a Covid safe risk assessment in place and all staff will be fully briefed. The school has a large secure carpark for staff and has excellent links with public transport making it easily accessible.
Pay - £65.00 - £85.00 per day
