Position: Teaching Assistant

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Full-time, long-term (until the end of the academic year)

Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process within the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  2. Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help.
  3. Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring their inclusion and progress.
  4. Assisting with the planning and preparation of teaching materials.
  5. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  6. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teacher.
  7. Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive student conduct.
  8. Collaborating with the teaching team to enhance the overall educational experience.

Requirements: To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  1. Previous child-based experience (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, voluntary work).
  2. Possession of a valid and up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate registered on the update service.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  5. A strong commitment to the welfare and development of young people.
  6. Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  7. A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference.
  8. A university degree or relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).

Remuneration: The remuneration for this position will range from £80.00 to £100.00 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. This rate reflects the importance of the role and the commitment required to support our students' educational journey.
