Position: 1:1 Tutor for Excluded Pupils with Challenging Behaviour

Location: Offsite in various libraries in and around Chorley

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions for pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school due to challenging behaviour.
• Utilise an online portal to deliver tutoring in Maths, English, and Science up to GCSE level.
• Tailor teaching methods to suit the individual needs and learning styles of each pupil.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and feedback to facilitate ongoing improvement.

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in delivering lessons in Maths, English, and Science up to GCSE level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Working Hours: Full or part-time options available. Sessions are typically 2 hours with each pupil.

Salary: £25-£35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
