Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

This role involves working in an ASD provision within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1), providing cover as a Teaching Assistant and unqualified Teacher. The school is committed to providing a holistic approach to the child's learning journey, fostering a family atmosphere where pupils and families feel supported.

  • The Primary SEND School, specializing in Autism, follows the national curriculum.
  • Primary aims to provide a family atmosphere where pupils and families feel supported.
  • The school has a holistic approach to the child's learning journey, focusing on academic, creative, and nurturing aspects.
  • While it is a SEND School, around 85% of the pupils go on to mainstream secondary school education.
  • The school offers a creative and fun learning environment, with a focus on Music, PE, Drama, and Arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and cover in the EYFS and KS1 ASD provision.
  • Assist with classroom activities and lessons, following the national curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively with other Teaching Assistants and staff members.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a SEND School or ASD provision is advantageous.
  • A passion for working with children with Autism and supporting their educational journey.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for implementing engaging and fun learning activities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school's ethos.
