Tradewind Manchester are looking for an outstanding Year 1 teacher for a January start. This is a full time, permanent role which will either be on temp basis or on a contract with the school with immediate effect. The role will pay MPS1-6 with a TLR possibility for the right candidate.

About the school:
We are recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher on behalf of a small primary school in Oldham. The school has a 'good' rating from Ofsted when last inspected in 2018, however another visit is imminent. Results last year were below the national and LEA average, with below average progress scores across the school as well. There is a focus on learning, progress and teaching this year as a result.

The school is friendly and inclusive, very much at the heart of the community. The school's ethos is built on strong Christian values which underpin everything they do. The school encourages children to develop positive attitudes to learning and to be inquisitive about the world around them. The school is in the perfect location to do this…situated in beautiful grounds. They make the most of their surroundings with forest school and outdoor learning a major part of their curriculum. The school is part of a large multi academy trust however, decisions regarding learning and development are still in the hands of the Headteacher. The MAT provide all staff with fantastic CPD and career development opportunities.

The school is based in Oldham, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.

Having worked with the school for several years and forging a close working relationship with the SLT, I can honestly say this is a brilliant school to work at. Teachers who have worked at the school previously always mention the warm welcome they receive from children and staff.

About the role:
This OFSTED 'good' primary school (2017) are looking for an innovative and inspirational teacher to teach a Yr1 class. The role is due to start in January however they have the capacity to start the right candidate immediately. We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and has high expectations of themselves and others. The class have had a difficult transition from Reception and have already had two teachers this year. They are a little behind expected levels but they are a lovely engaged class with very few behavioural problems. There is also plenty of support in the class with the addition of two TA's.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to develop outstanding teaching and learning across school ensuring that attainment and achievement opportunities are maximised for our children The Head teacher has put a lot of emphasis on ensuring a good work life balance which she sees as being key to staff moral and harmony within the school.

As a Classroom Teacher, you will have the support of a cohesive and committed team of teachers and SLT who work collaboratively to maintain high standards and expectations, plus:
