The competitive salary for this role ranges between £150 and £210 per day, depending on experience, starting after the February half-term. Your commitment will be required for the remainder of the academic year. This position is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the progress and achievement of a high-performing Year 1 class. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing engaging lessons aligned with KS1 National Curriculum standards and supporting the school's creative curriculum
  • Understanding age-appropriate expectations within KS1 and adapting teaching strategies to maximise individual pupil outcomes
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of student data, analysing areas for improvement, and bridging gaps in learning
  • Building positive relationships with students based on trust and mutual respect
  • Collaborating effectively with Teaching Assistants, Key Stage staff, and wider school staff to share advice, resources, and best practices

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Excellent references supporting previous KS1 experience, ideally within a Year 1 class
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history with any gaps explained
  • Right to work in the UK All applicants will be required to provide suitable references and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
