Job Description: Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within a Year 1 class a primary school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 1 class teacher to help deliver the UK National Curriculum within KS1. The role is for 5 days a week, 8.30am-3.30pm each day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help with classroom management and behaviour support.
- Contribute to planning and preparation of learning materials.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum with a focus on Year 1.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting student learning.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience required.
