Job Title: Year 4 Teaching Assistant

Job Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a Nottingham Primary Academy that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teaching Assistant to join the dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers to support the learning and development of students in Year 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Year 4 class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students who may require additional assistance with their learning.
- Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources for lessons and activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their participation and engagement in learning.
- Assist with the supervision of students during break times, outings, and other school activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the overall development and well-being of students.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Understanding of the primary curriculum and strategies for supporting student learning.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) is required.
