Exciting Opportunity: Teaching Assistant for Year 5-6

Start date -April 2024

Hours - Full time 8.30am-4 pm

Location - Nottingham City

We are recruiting on behalf of a Primary school that are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the team and work with Year 5-6 students. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
• Assist students with their learning, including one-to-one support and small group activities.
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with special educational needs or additional learning needs.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare (desirable but not essential).

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with Year 5-6 age group.
• Knowledge of relevant curriculum and educational strategies.
• Experience supporting students with special educational needs.
