Are you an experienced Year 6 teacher looking to teach at a faith school in Hackney from January 2019?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working closely with a newly formed academy in the popular and creative East London borough of Hackney. They are looking to secure a committed and passionate Year 6 teacher for a January 2019 start. This role is till July initially, with the potential to become permanent.

This one-form entry Primary school in the heart of vibrant Hackney, is a faith school established in 1959 and serves the local community.

The aim of the school is to provide a warm and nurturing environment which caters to spiritual, educational, physical and emotional needs of their children.

The children have specialised teachers for their morning faith based lessons. The successful Y6 teacher will have the morning to plan lessons and teaching will commence from 13.10 every day.

The school are seeking an experienced Year 6 teacher who not only has excellent Year 6 teaching experience but the ability to independently plan schemes of work that are creative, varied and engaging to Year 6 children. A commitment to raising standards and pupil progress is essential.

It is also essential that you demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and behaviour strategies, particularly in Numeracy and Literacy. International teachers are welcome to apply (particularly those trained in Australia and New Zealand).

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Year 6 teacher to work closely with a team of dedicated teachers and support staff, all working towards the common goal of raising standards and providing these children with an education that promotes independent learning skills and creativity.

Job Requirements

Hold QTS status or equivalent Teaching qualification
Overseas Trained Teachers will be considered if you have a comparable qualification with a UK teaching qualification and you can comply with the other points
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
Experience of teaching Year 6 (maybe on practicum placement)
As one the successful applicants, you will be dynamic and creative; have great teaching practise and good people skills. You will be able to manage a class effectively and impact on children's learning.
