Behaviour Mentor - Secondary Schools - Tower Hamlets
Start Date: September | Full-Time | Term-Time Only
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Secondary schools across Tower Hamlets are looking for committed and resilient Behaviour Mentors to join their teams and support students in achieving their full potential.
About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour and engage positively in their education. You'll play a key role in building relationships, promoting positive choices, and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Work one-to-one or with small groups to support positive behaviour
De-escalate challenging situations and provide emotional support
Implement behaviour strategies and intervention plans
Liaise with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
Act as a role model and mentor to help students build self-esteem and resilience
We are looking for individuals who:
Are calm, confident, and have a strong presence
Have experience working with young people in educational or youth settings
Understand behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches
Are passionate about inclusion and supporting vulnerable learners
Can build strong, trusting relationships with students from diverse backgrounds
