History Teacher - Daventry
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Long-Term Position

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of secondary schools in the Daventry area who are looking for talented History Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These roles are available on both a full-time basis and offer excellent long-term prospects.

This is a great opportunity for a teacher who can bring historical events to life and help students understand the impact of the past on today's world.

In this role, you'll:

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on the school

  • Deliver lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and debate

  • Create a classroom environment where students feel confident exploring different viewpoints and asking big questions

  • Track progress and tailor support to ensure all learners stay engaged and make progress

  • Play a part in wider school life through activities such as clubs, trips, and enrichment days

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has QTS and a background in teaching History or Humanities

  • Brings strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to planning

  • Builds positive relationships with students and maintains a calm, supportive classroom atmosphere

  • Is enthusiastic about helping students develop key skills like analysis, evaluation, and evidence-based thinking

  • Works well with colleagues and is happy to contribute to department planning and school initiatives
